Your reply to Marcia regarding price of MC-100A was dated July 2009. The price list as posted still shows that price. What is the current price of the MC-100A and the MC-100A-S as of Nov.2010?

As an individual, have need of a one operator stretcher/cot/gurney to transport bed bound wife to doctor appointments. Have had poor experience with local non-emergency transport company as to reliability of keeping appointments. Would be interested in the Junkin MC-100A-S High-boy. I have two suburbans (1990 & 1999) that could be used. What is the current price and drop shipping charge to the Florida panhandle? Also are most of the parts inter-changable with the regular gurney?

You will think I am crazy but I have a brother who has been a quadriplegic for 37 years. A couple of times I have needed to transport him lying down (various reasons) and have borrowed a funeral gurney to do that. Is there any way one could place a wider, thicker mattress (even if it were one of the memory foam cut to order) on this gurney to make it comfortable for transporting a LIVE person short distances??? As a matter of fact, I did that with the borrowed one and he rode on it all the way from Oklahoma to Alabama very comfortably. The price is a little high for no more than I would use it buy would very much like to explore the possibility of owning one.
